The personal workflow today
Reconstruct your own day.
Review automatic activity history and optional Notes to recover context before returning to work or preparing your own update.
Focus for teams
Bring a fragmented workday back into view. Focus records Windows activity automatically, with optional dated Notes to help you pick up where you left off.
For developers, technical consultants, and delivery teams who want a personal record of their day—without keeping timers or creating daily time entries.
A 30-minute meeting, arranged by email. No purchase commitment.
Built for individual review. Your company doesn’t receive an activity dashboard.
The review workflow
Look back at the applications, categories, and sessions recorded in your Windows timeline.
Keep a dated Note about a decision, interruption, or open question. Add context when you need it, not as a daily requirement.
Return to your history and Notes before resuming work or preparing an update in the tools your team already uses.
Automatic time tracking gives you a record to review, not a measure of completed work. You choose what to write and share; Focus does not send updates to team tools.
Illustrative workflow
How a developer could revisit a busy afternoon before preparing a handover.
A developer moves between a bug investigation, a support question, and a design discussion in one afternoon.
Before tomorrow’s handover, they want to remember what they investigated and which question remains open.
They review their Focus timeline and the dated Note they wrote, then prepare their own update outside Focus.
The aim is a useful reminder of the open question. A team evaluation checks whether this review is helpful in practice.
Individual value. Future company value.

Future research—not available today
Privacy-safe team-level insights are the intended future business value: understanding patterns to decide whether a workflow needs changing. Aggregation is only useful if it supports that decision.
A research question to explore
Did changing our support rotation reduce fragmented work?
This is a hypothesis to investigate—not something Focus currently measures reliably. App activity alone cannot establish productivity, completed work, or billable hours.
The current recruitment pilot has no aggregate dashboard or central activity collection for team reporting. Conversations help identify which decision could justify future work; they do not enable new collection.
Who is involved
The person reviewing their day
Review your own day, keep the context that matters, and decide whether Focus is useful in your routine.
Participation and feedback are voluntary.
The company’s coordination contact
Help colleagues get started, bring practical feedback, and coordinate a review of the experience.
No need to collect colleagues’ activity or Notes.
The company approval contact
Approve a voluntary evaluation and help clarify which company decision future team-level insights would need to support.
No purchase commitment is requested in this pilot.
Private by architecture
People review their own activity and decide what feedback to discuss. The current pilot does not give the company a dashboard of individual activity or Notes.
Detailed history and Notes are stored locally during normal operation. Product analytics and optional external categorization are handled separately. On company-managed devices, administrators with sufficient privileges may still be able to access local files.
Future company views are intended to show team-level aggregated totals and percentages, not individual activity records or Notes. Reporting details, privacy safeguards, and participation choices would be reviewed before any rollout. No team reporting or central activity collection is being added through this pilot.
Review the Privacy Policy for those data flows. Before a team evaluation, we agree installation permissions and what voluntary feedback will be shared.
A voluntary early pilot
After the first conversation, we can agree a short pilot with willing Windows users. Focus is currently an early beta; we’ll discuss its limitations and confirm the scope before anyone starts.
Start with a recent workday that was difficult to reconstruct. Confirm Windows devices, a company contact, and around 3–5 willing Participants.
Your Guardian (IT/security contact) confirms installation requirements. Our Guide (Focus pilot contact) helps agree setup, data boundaries, support, and a review date.
Use Focus during normal work for seven calendar days—about five working days. A brief midpoint check helps resolve setup or usage blockers.
Review useful moments, setup friction, and feedback. Stop or agree a time-limited extension. Discuss future company questions without a sales or payment decision.
This recruitment pilot is free. We agree support and a review date before starting, then learn what helped and what needs work. There is no sales discussion, purchase commitment, or automatic charge. Feedback does not enrol anyone in future data collection.
